Testimonials:
"You are a phenomenal teacher, yes sir! You recognize everything! You have a rare combination intelligence compassion and patience, and I am lucky to be taking classes with you." - Claire Schoonover-Brown I had so much fun in class today. This group of actors, and your approach & dedication to all of us to become the best is inspiring. It really is. You pour your energy and heart into it, and that's just about as special as anything I've experienced. With your continued help I can extract the moment-to-moment context and jump in, having no time to worry about the lines. It led me to have one of the best auditions I ever. I was like a different actor in the room. Calm, collected, present and flexible to adjust." - Nimo Gandhi "Your class is really affecting my life in a profound way. It’s rare to meet a teacher who cares so much. Capable of handling the ego of his students with grace and redirection. I get 10+ “aha!” moments per class- more than I’ve ever gotten in any class of any discipline. I always leave feeling more armed to take on this art form. Thank you." - Tristao Darius Azor "I really enjoy class; I'm getting a lot out of it. I am impressed with your integrity and your kindness, not to mention your knowledge and your skill." - Judy Rosenblatt “I have learned so much from your classes over the years, I’m sure that’s part of the reason why I’m having some success now. A lot of things I took from your class have been helping me book this year (changing the picture, listening, and being in the present moment). Thanks for always sharing your knowledge and wisdom about acting and the business. It was really a great help.” - Abdul Howard “I’ve had more growth in the last 8 weeks than I’ve had in any other learning environments. I’ve never had such self awareness before.” - Sarah Marie Miller "I was so comfortable with improving and just letting go of the lines and I didn’t do anything that was predetermined. It became very apparent that the work you and I have done has paid off. Just wanted to say thanks and to let you know that the response I got on set from the director and crew was really positive. Even one of the other actors asked me where I trained. I don’t think I would have been able to handle all that dialogue, emotion and pressure a few years ago. You have helped me so much." - William Day "I got a callback for the CBS casting initiative! Thanks so much for your help. I'm pretty certain it wouldn't have happened without it." -Marc DeLaCruz "Dave’s class exceeds what you’d expect from an acting class. With each session you end up learning so much about who you are as a person, and that translates not only on camera, but also beyond the classroom. I’m constantly drawing comparisons from what we’ve discussed in class to what’s happening in my personal life—and it has effected how I understand and navigate life’s obstacles. I can honestly say I feel more confident, grounded and authentically myself since taking his class, and that shows up in my work on camera. Thanks Dave!" - Lauren Dalal "Dave's class taught me how to simplify the complex work in acting through solidifying whats most important, which has allowed everything else to fall into place. It's invigorating, refreshing, and brings a whole new meaning to my work!" - Michiko Sasaki "You’re doing a great job as a teacher/colleague and I am grateful to be in your class. I really appreciate you, your jokes, your intense desire for us to thrive, your authentic showing up in class." -Dana Block "I've really enjoyed participating in your class these past two blocks! The knowledge I have gained is substantial, I have seen concepts manifest themselves in my performance, and I'm more easily identifying when I've missed the mark in particular situations. I have found your specific critiques incredibly helpful and constructive, and I'm excited to continue to grow in the fall block." - Mitchell List "I just booked an episode in a new Netflix series! I know it is in part the class you teach and I will be back! Cheers to you!" - Leasen Almquist “Thank you for being a kick ass teacher. I so appreciate your approach, and am looking forward to continuing the journey and getting deeper into the work.” - Joey Sponseller "There’s something that starts changing fundamentally within you when you start his class. And that transpires in your work on camera especially if you are as nervous as I usually am in that inorganic audition room. I can even use that now to my advantage, and I’m not conscious about being me! Thanks Dave, love working / breaking down scenes with you and seeing them in a whole new light." - Sweta Keswani "I took Dave’s class last Fall and I booked my first commercial after. I am inspired now more than I have EVER been. The challenges are no longer a source of fear for me, but a source of curiosity and desire to create more shifts." - Meleza Morris "Thanks again for the self tape session, it helped a lot, and it also got me fired up again. It reminded me I have a path that still awaits me in the world of acting." - John Zion “I wasn’t sure how the Zoom classes would work out, but it was a really fun block. Thank you for making it a great class as always, and for all of your helpful insights and guidance." - Erin McMahon “After the first scene the CD said, "That's what the tone is" and after the second scene she said "You nailed it" and that she liked my expression at the end. Onward and upward. Thanks again!” - Sagar Patel "Thanks for all that you gave me at our session last week. It was invaluable information. I will see you soon. Your coaching is excellent." - Randy Schein "Ever since I took your class I have been getting more auditions. Thank you so much." - Jeremie Carlson "Dave is an incredibly insightful acting teacher. He has helped me get out of my head and emotionally connect with the script. Breakthroughs in his class are recurring and tremendous." - Noah Damer “You are an exceptional teacher. I always love the content we cover in class from the script to our own personal lives and the blocks that we put up that hinder our growth and success.” - Maria Chookolingo "You inspire me with how you teach each of us uniquely. You recognize our strengths and weaknesses and get the knowledge of the craft across in ways we can understand. It is fantastic.” - Nikoletta Thoma "What I like about you is that you actually really care about your students and that you want them to progress, learn and do better. Thank you for not just being a teacher, but for caring." - Tamyko Vassel |
